Joy Behar: Hillary ‘Should Have Stood Up to’ Man Who Made Fiorina Strangling Remark
Joy Behar said on The View today that Hillary Clinton “should have stood up to” the man who joked about strangling Carly Fiorina.
The man, a veteran who said he was laid off while Fiorina was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard, made that comment and Clinton joked, “I wouldn’t mess with you.”
Clinton was scolded by Republicans for not condemning that remark, and on The View today, a few of the hosts agreed she shouldn’t have said it.
Raven-Symoné said Clinton might have just given a “human reaction,” but after that she needed to deal with the comment head-on.
Behar pointed out, “Let’s be fair. If somebody had said that to Donald Trump and he had laughed, we’d be ripping him a new one… She should have stood up to him.”
