Juan Williams Says He’s Catching Flak At DNC For Being Fox News Employee

Fox News’ Juan Williams caught up with Bill O’Reilly Tuesday night, remarking that his employer made him the subject of not-the-warmest welcome at the Democratic National Convention. Asked about it, he replied, “I’m a big boy.”

“I gotta tell you, what’s interesting here is, it’s very clear that I work with you and Fox News,” Williams said. O’Reilly then asked, “Are you stigmatized?” — to which Williams simply said, “It’s all right, I don’t mind it. It’s who I work for, I’m a proud employee. … I’m a big boy.”

“On the streets, do people give you a hard time?” O’Reilly pressed.

“People just want to know, why do you work for Fox, why do you have to be there,” Williams said. Following O’Reilly’s quip about “disgruntled” NPR employees (Williams, you’ll recall, was fired from NPR), he added that his answer to all those questions is to say how when he’s on Fox, “nobody’s telling me what to say.” That the network allows “honest” conversations and debates. That there are “no limits.”
