Kimmel Mocks Trump’s Iran Deal Withdrawal: One Time He Should’ve Pulled Out… We Got Don Jr.
Jimmy Kimmel kicked off his monologue Tuesday night by mocking President Trump and his announcement about withdrawing the U.S. from the Iran Nuclear Deal.
Kimmel said that Trump has been “teasing” about his decision to stay or pull out of the Iran Deal “like it was a new Star Wars trailer or something.”
He then played a clip from the president’s televised announcement when he boldly declared that the U.S. was pulling out of the pact.
“He’s so pleased with himself,” Kimmel reacted. “Pulling out of Obama‘s deal- the one time Trump should have pulled out… we ended up with Donald Jr.”
Kimmel said watching Trump’s speech was “nothing short of fascinating,” saying that it “feels like he’s learning to read before our very eyes.”
“But when he makes promises, he keeps them,” Kimmel continued. “Just ask any of the women Michael Cohen paid off.”
He insisted that Trump “hasn’t read one word of that deal” despite the president calling it “horrible” and “one-sided.” He also mocked Trump’s threat to Iran if they continue pursuing their “nuclear aspirations,” the regime will face “bigger problems than it has ever had before.”
“That’s right, don’t test him Iran!” Kimmel reacted. “He will turn your whole country into a poorly-run casino like that!”
