Larry Wilmore Slams Fox: Obama ‘Cries About Dead Children and You’ve Got Notes?’
President Obama’s speech to unveil new executive actions on gun regulation continues to drive the cultural conversation as well as the political one. On Wednesday night’s The Nightly Show, host Larry Wilmore weighed in on the predictably negative reactions to the measures before anyone even knew what they were, and slammed Fox News for ripping Obama’s tearful remembrance of the children slain at Sandy Hook Elementary school.
“The guy cries about dead children and you’ve got notes?” Wilmore said, and then slammed Fox hosts for asserting that President Obama should cry while he’s reciting the magical “radical Islamic terrorism” incantation.
“Oh, stop it,” Wilmor said. “If Obama cried over everything, Fox News wouldn’t even call itself Fox News anymore, they’d call it ‘The Obama is a Weeping Queer Channel.”
