Laura Ingraham Rebukes Lindsey Graham for Pushing ‘Another Forever War – This Time With Iran’

Laura Ingraham warned that the U.S. should not get into “another forever war” after Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called on President Joe Biden to bomb Iran.

Last week, Hamas, which controls Gaza and is funded by Iran, launched a series of terrorist attacks in Israel that have killed more than 1,200 people. Iran’s leaders have denied the country had any involvement. U.S. intelligence agencies have not found evidence showing Iran ordered the attack.

On Thursday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle on Fox News, Ingraham played a clip of Graham on CNN.

“I would bomb Iran’s oil infrastructure,” he said. “The money financing terrorism comes from Iran.”

CNN host Abby Phillip asked him, “You’re saying that you would want the United States and Israel to bomb Iran even in the absence of direct evidence?”

“Yes,” he replied. “I would do a joint military operation. I’d tell the Iranians today, ‘If the war escalates, you will pay a price.’… It is now time to dismantle the financing system of terrorism.”

Graham made similar comments on Fox News.

Ingraham, who supported the Iraq war in 2003 but has since said she regrets doing so, appeared displeased with the senator’s remarks.

“Now, let me be blunt here – as I always am – but we need to make sure that the justified retribution campaign led by Israel against Hamas does not turn into the U.S. being thrown into another forever war – this time with Iran.”

She welcomed Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) to the show and asked for his reaction.

“Senator Graham has also said that this is a ‘holy war,'” she told him. “When I start hearing that, I get concerned. Are you?”

Hagerty answered with a non sequitur criticizing the Biden administration and underscoring Israel’s right to defend itself when the host interrupted.

“But to my point, Senator – sorry to interrupt you – to my point, that’s not quite what Lindsey Graham is saying that. He’s going beyond that. Of course we support Israel’s right to do what it needs to do to Hamas and get the hostages back and make sure this never happens again. But if you listen to what Lindsay Graham is saying, this seems to be moving into a much wider campaign. And given the complexity of the situation in the Middle East, is that the way for America to be leaning right now?”

Hagerty again declined to address his Republican colleague’s comments and responded by praising former President Donald Trump for withdrawing from the nuclear deal with Iran brokered by the Obama administration.
