Leno Gets Farewell Advice from Bill Maher, Charlie Sheen, and Obama
Jay Leno has had a lot of high-profile guests over the years, and a great many of them returned the favor by appearing in pre-taped bits on his last night at The Tonight Show, wishing him well and giving him some free advice for the future; a bit that included both Charlie Sheen and President Obama.
There was a creepy picture from Kevin Bacon, Miley Cyrus hitting his car, Sheen telling Leno to “buy NBC and fire everybody,” and Maher filming two separate videos for Leno: one for his departure from the show, and one for his inevitable return months later when NBC brings him back.
And in the middle of all that, President Obama showed up and said he has no hard feelings about all the jokes Leno’s made at his expense, and that’s why he’s sending Leno far, far away to be his new Ambassador to Antarctica. The president said, “Hope you’ve got a coat, funny man!”
