‘Let’s Move On!’ Musk Shuts Down Fox’s Peter Doocy From Asking About New York Times Report on His Drug Use
Elon Musk shut down Fox News’ Peter Doocy at the White House as the reporter tried asking about a bombshell New York Times report claiming Musk’s drug use grew “more intense” during his time working with President Donald Trump.
Musk joined the president at the White House on Friday as his time as a special government employee with DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) draws to a close. As the Friday event was opened up to questions from reporters, Doocey brought up the Times report, which Musk immediately shut down by blasting the outlet.
According to the Times report, which cites private messages and interviews with more than a dozen people close to Musk, Musk took ketamine daily and mixed it with other drugs like Ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms at private and public events.
“The president mentioned that you like to deal with all the slings and arrows during your time at DOGE,” Doocy began on Friday before Musk took a jab at journalists in the Oval Office and their reporting on him.
“Some of the media organizations in this room were the slingers,” Musk said.
As Doocy mentioned the Times report, Musk laid into the paper and its past reporting on “Russiagate,” referring to the Russia probe into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. The paper won a Pulitzer for the reporting, but that reporting has since grown more controversial. Trump is currently suing the Pulitzer Board. He celebrated a judge earlier in the week, rejecting the Board’s attempt to pause the lawsuit.
“Is that the same publication that’s got a Pulitzer Prize for false reporting on Russiagate? Is it the same organization?” Musk asked Doocy.
“I gotta check my Pulitzer counter,” Doocy replied.
“I think the judge just ruled against New York Times for their lies about the Russigate hoax,” Musk said. “And that they might have to give back that Pulitzer prize. That New York Times?”
“Let’s move on!” Musk said, turning away from Doocy.
