Lindsey Graham Rips Dianne Feinstein For Saying Kavanaugh Yelled and Demeaned Senators: ‘What a Joke’
On Wednesday night, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) continued his pro-Kavanaugh tour, taking aim at his Democratic colleagues ahead of the Senate vote expected to take place this Friday.
Graham began by daring Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) to go through the “background check from Hell” that Judge Brett Kavanaugh has already gone through before he was nominated to the Supreme Court, accusing the Democrat of “making up” in reference to the tweet he made rebuking the Senate Judiciary Committee.
He then blasted the Dr. Christine Blasey Ford‘s legal team for “playing a game” and withholding the therapist notes she shared with The Washington Post from the Senate Judiciary Committee, adding that she’s “been used by the Democratic Party” and that whoever leaked her letter had a “political agenda.”
However, it wasn’t until Fox News anchor Shannon Bream read the following statement from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) that really set him off:
“When he wasn’t yelling and demeaning senators, he was making misleading statements that cast doubt on his overall trustworthiness. I don’t think that would happen with FBI agents seated across the table.”
“What a joke,” Graham reacted. “I like Dianne Feinstein and I don’t think she leaked Dr. Ford’s name to the media, but somebody around her may have. If you saw this man as ‘yelling’- I saw a man who was offended to his core, defended his good name, took it to the people who are trying to destroy his family. What would you do in that situation?”
“This idea that somehow his temperament is in question, you’re rewarding the worst behavior I’ve seen in 20 years if you buy that garbage,” Graham continued. “To any Republican, his temperament before this hearing according to ABA. Do not let these people do what they’ve done to Judge Kavanaugh and reward them by saying he’s no longer fit because he’s in the world’s worst position of defending himself against a bunch of garbage from people who don’t care about fairness. This has never been about the truth. It’s been about delaying the hearing to get past the midterms to fill the seat in 2020.”
