Maher Panel Gets Tense After Margaret Cho Calls George Bush a War Criminal

Bill Maher last night admitted he was kind of amazed at how veterans anywhere in the U.S. could possibly look at George W. Bush favorably when he sent soldiers to fight and die over a war that everyone now admits the U.S. shouldn’t have gotten into.

Republican Ana Navarro––a Jeb Bush supporter––argued that Bush has done a great deal for wounded warriors, but Maher shot back, “They wouldn’t be wounded!”

Killer Mike and Margaret Cho both agreed with Maher, with the latter saying, “I think George W. Bush is a war criminal. He sent all those people to die.”

Navarro shot back, “Let’s not throw around that term so loosely. I mean, I know you are a comedian and everything, but war criminals are Nazis.”

Maher objected to her using the word “comedian” dismissively, but Navarro saying “we did not get another 9/11 under him.”

Maher cried that he’s sick and tired of everyone crowing about how much Bush kept us safe after 9/11 when that kind of overlooks 9/11 in the first place.
