Media Roars in Delight as Trump Extends Marathon Press Conference: ‘You Tell Me When It Gets Boring!’

President Donald Trump may be known for feuding with the media, but he had reporters gleeful on Friday when he kept a marathon press conference going.

Trump and officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi kicked off a press conference on Friday scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET a few minutes late. But once it got started, the president had trouble stopping, at one point pausing only to take a shot at former President Joe Biden, whom he argued could never have answered so many questions.

The press conference was primarily focused on the Supreme Court’s decision rolling back sweeping injunctions against the administration, including the one standing in the way of Trump’s executive order targeting birthright citizenship.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Trump was discussing how “dangerous” the presidency can be.

“What I do is a dangerous business. You know, I tell the story of the car companies and different people in different professions. You have race car drivers, as an example, one-tenth of 1% die. Bull riders, one-tenth of 1%. That’s not a lot, but it’s people die. When you’re president, it’s about 5%. If somebody would have told me that, maybe I wouldn’t have run,” the president said.

Before moving on, Trump asked whether he should keep the press conference going, earning numerous “yes” answers from the delighted press.

“By the way, so many questions. Should we keep this going, Pam?” Trump asked, turning to his attorney general.

He then took a shot at his predecessor and told the media to let him know when he gets “boring.”

“This is the opposite of Biden! Biden would take a half a question and he’d leave without answering it… You tell me when it gets boring, okay?” he said.
