Megyn Kelly Unloads on State Dept.: Worry About Terrorists, Not Bill O’Reilly

Megyn Kelly stood up for Bill O’Reilly tonight after a State Department spokesperson said he was being sexist. Kelly said the State Department “should be more worried about the terrorists who are beheading Americans and not focused on Bill O’Reilly.”

Harf called O’Reilly sexist after he said that colleague Jen Psaki was out of her depth. Kelly laughed and said that O’Reilly insults everyone like that, regardless of gender.

Howard Kurtz agreed, saying “there wasn’t anything in Bill’s comments that remotely smacked of sexism.” Kelly also noted that it’s not like O’Reilly’s the first person to go after Psaki (she was mocked on Twitter for engaging in some hashtag diplomacy).

Kurtz added that Harf probably got some high-fives at the White House because they just don’t like Fox News that much.
