Morning Joe Crew Stunned by ‘Furious’ Trump’s ‘Remarkable Anger’ at Israel: ‘Talk About the F Bomb!’

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough and co-host Jonathan Lemire were left stunned by President Donald Trump’s “remarkable anger” at Israel on the White House lawn as he boarded Marine One on his way to the NATO summit on Tuesday.

Producers rolled back the clip as soon as it became available to them, which showed Trump speaking to a press gaggle who pressed him on Israel’s vow to retaliate after a missile strike killed four civilians in Beersheba. Israel accused Iran of breaking the ceasefire announced by Trump just hours earlier while Iran denied it launched the attack.

Trump appeared frustrated and angry as he departed the White House, saying he was “not pleased” with Israel’s intent to respond and saying neither side “knows what the fuck they’re doing.”

Reacting to the clip, which was played out on-air and in full, the crew were stunned.

“You can sort through the F word, but geopolitically, and I’m dead serious here, his message to Israel is really the great takeaway,” Scarborough said.

Lemire added that viewers had just been given the “full Trump experience” and noted that the president is “furious” at the idea of collapsing the ceasefire:

Yeah, we got the full Trump experience just there. Full Trump. He is certainly more – his language is much more colorful in private than he usually allows in public. We got a little bit of it there too. But you’re right, it’s interesting covering Donald Trump for a long time even in his remarks to reporters there, though angry at Iran, very clearly far more so at Israel. And then doubling down on that with that Truth Social post. That’s the issue here.

And we know that he and Benjamin Netanyahu used to be close allies, there was a real fraying of that in the previous months. We know that the president did not go to Israel when he went to the Middle East a month or so back. It did seem like he was working pretty well with Netanyahu in the last week or so during this campaign against Iran. But President Trump wants the war to stop. He didn’t want it to begin in the first place. He went along with it. He did help, certainly, with that strike at the facilities on Saturday. But now he’s eager for it to come to a quick conclusion. And he’s furious that, at least for now, it hasn’t just yet.

“You can talk about the F bomb. I think we’re going to focus on, instead, on just the direct challenge to Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel, whatever happened last night, this morning,” Scarborough said, introducing the guests to the conversation.
