MSNBC Accidentally Gives Obama a 96% Unfavorable Rating
Look, we all make mistakes. I made two just this morning. They happen. It’s just some mistakes are more awkward and televised than others, like when Morning Joe accidentally gave President Barack Obama a 96% unfavorable rating Wednesday morning:

The numbers come from a George Washington Battleground Poll, the banner of which was Harry Reid v. Koch Bros: Stink-Off. The poll found that most people hadn’t heard of the wealthy and politically active brothers, but that among those who had they suffered a 2:1 unfavorable marks. This was compared to Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), who’s declared war on the brothers from the Senate floor, and whose numbers are underwater 24/35.

The graphics went wrong on Reid’s display:

The poll found Obama’s favorability ratings underwater for the first time in the poll’s history, 47/49. Favorability ratings measure a respondent’s personal assessment of a public figure, distinct from the respondent’s approval of that figure’s job performance (though the two obviously blur). Obama has usually enjoyed higher favorability numbers, even when his approval ratings have been in the toilet. His favorability appears to have taken a hit of late, though it’s not as low as 4%.
