MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan Schools Bill O’Reilly On ‘War With Islam’
On the heels of that Bill O’Reilly-fueled View walk-off by Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, in which O’Reilly exclaimed repeatedly that “Muslims killed us on 9/11,” MSNBC’s fiery Dylan Ratigan tried to provide some clarity to the discussion on Morning Joe. Ratigan pointed out that the attacks on the United States, from the USS Cole to the two World Trade Center attacks, were the work of a single extremist sect of Islam. The inconvenient part of that truth is that the Wahabbi branch of Islam is based in, and funded by, Saudi Arabia, not Iraq, or Afghanistan, or Yemen. (h/t Gawker)
This definitely isn’t the first time anyone’s made this point, as opponents of the Iraq war who screamed about it from the rafters will attest, but as Ratigan notes, the information has failed to penetrate.
