NBC Nightly News Finishes 2010 As Evening News Winner

NBC’s Nightly News will finish 2010 as the top performer in the evening news race, according to 4Q Nielsen ratings released today.

The Brian Williams-led newscast dominated the key ratings metric of adults 25-54, beating ABC’s World News by 424,000 viewers and the CBS Evening News by 756,000.

Nightly completes a sweep of ratings victories–in terms of total viewers–to thirteen consecutive quarterly wins. Among adults 25-54, Nightly‘s fought ABC’s resurgent World News and won 19 of the last 21 quarters (though there have been at least five ties).
