NBC Says It Will ‘Cease Airing’ Trump Ad After Massive Online Backlash

NBC came under intense criticism after running the Trump campaign ad that CNN refused to because it was racist.
The 30 second spot was a shorter version of the ad President Donald Trump tweeted out about the caravan and connecting it to Luis Bracamontes, the undocumented immigrant who killed two sheriff’s deputies.
NBC received a great deal of criticism for running the ad during Sunday Night Football, including from director Judd Apatow and NBC star Debra Messing.
This morning, on the day before election day, NBC issued a statement after all the criticism saying that they will no longer run the ad:
NEW NBC statement regarding the Trump immigration ad:
“After further review we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have decided to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible.” – NBCUniversal Spokesperson.
