O’Reilly: MSNBC ‘Collapsing’ Because of Its Constant Lecturing
Bill O’Reilly tonight delighted in looking at MSNBC and why, as he phrased it, there has been a “total collapse of ratings that were never high to begin with.” And Bernard Goldberg had a few theories as to why fewer and fewer liberals are watching their own on TV.
Goldberg said that “if MSNBC or liberal talk radio were political candidates, they’d lose every election.” But beyond that, he had a few reasons why they’re failing on TV. Put simply, he said, they’re “boring” and “not entertaining.”

He and O’Reilly agreed there is way too much “lecturing” going on at MSNBC instead of giving liberals what they expect from opinion journalism: having their opinions validated. O’Reilly also pointed out that while Fox News has some prominent voices of dissent, MSNBC does not have many “opposing points of view.”
