Rachel Maddow Wishes Dick Cheney A Speedy Recovery

Monday night news broke that Dick Cheney had entered a hospital due to chest pains. Later we learned that the former vice president suffered another in a long line of “mild” heart attacks. For those on the left, there may be no other political figure more polarizing than Cheney – who many saw was the driving force behind much of the policy during the George W. Bush administration. Which is why Rachel Maddow‘s well-wishes toward the former VP all the more exceptional, and reinforce her place as a transcendent character in the opinion media landscape.

Her comments stand in stark contrast to the jokes made by Joy Behar and Bill Maher last night, which many have seen as insensitive and inappropriate.
