Rove: ‘How Cynical, How Pathetic’ for Obama to Gin Up Impeachment

Karl Rove weighed in on impeachment on Fox News tonight, and while he scolded any Republican who would be openly calling for such a ridiculous idea at this point, he said the White House is acting beyond pathetic to be cynically ginning up threats of impeachment to rally the base and collect campaign cash.

Rove called Obama the “cynic-in-chief” who’s pushing some kind of constitutional crisis to “fatten the bank accounts of Democratic fundraising groups.” He said, “How cynical, how pathetic! This man is playing with the American people by suggesting a Constitution crisis.”

Rove scolded Obama and added, “Shame on him!” However, he did not let the right off the hook, scolding any Republican who would say anything even remotely hinting at impeachment because “that’s what the president wants.”
