Rubio Says He Bought Gun Because It’s ‘Last Line of Defense’ Against ISIS
Marco Rubio said on Face the Nation this morning he considers the right to bear arms important because a gun is the “last line of defense” Americans have against ISIS.
John Dickerson brought up how Rubio purchased a gun on Christmas, and asked him why. Rubio said pretty bluntly, “I have a right to protect my family.”

“If ISIS were to visit us or our communities at any moment,” he said, “the last line of defense between ISIS and my family is the ability that I have to protect my family.”
Rubio has been pretty firm on guns recently, saying last week that if President Obama could take everyone’s firearms away, he would.
