Scarborough Expresses Public Gratitude for MSNBC Show Cancellations
Joe Scarborough, basically the only conservative anywhere at MSNBC, let his relief for the network’s new programming changes slip on-air this morning.
Scarborough has hinted at various points in the past that he’s not too keen about the liberal direction of MSNBC’s lineup, even sparring with his colleagues occasionally, and after Joy Reid and Ronan Farrow lost their shows, Scarborough hinted at more changes.
At the time, he said, “I think that it’s very important, especially in the daytime they do hard news, they do it down the middle.”
Well, since then, The Cycle, Now with Alex Wagner, and The Ed Show have all been cancelled, and Al Sharpton‘s show is moving to Sundays.
This morning on MSNBC, Scarborough was talking about polls showing what buzzwords people attribute to candidates like Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, revealing the most negative thing people think about them.
Scarborough admitted that the worst thing he’s ever seen about him in such a poll was that he works for MSNBC, and then he made this addendum:
“Not anymore, though, ’cause things have changed. Thank you, Andy [Lack]. That was the past, this is the now. Thank you very much.”
