Sen. McCain Rips Heckler Who Interrupts His Memorial Day Speech: ‘Jerk!’
While giving a Memorial Day speech at an event in San Diego on Monday with presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, Arizona Senator John McCain was interrupted by an unruly heckler wearing a black POW-MIA shirt who noisily created a ruckus. Security quickly descended upon the screaming man, and escorted him out of the venue, while the audience heartily booed.
After the man left, McCain gave a quick sharp retort to diffuse the situation.
“Jerk!” he hollered out to cheers from the crowd.
