‘Spider-Man’ Shows He’s Less Than Super, Drops GMA Reporter on Live TV

 


Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark finishes its turbulent, injury-filled run on Broadway later this week, but before the show closes its doors for good, it got in one last embarrassing accident, courtesy of Good Morning America.

GMA’s Sarah Haines made the mistake of agreeing to shoot an elaborately choreographed stunt with one of the show’s many costumed heroes. When he dropped from the sky and she pretended to faint, this Spider-Man didn’t quite have the precision reflexes to catch her before she hit the ground.

After much laughter from the main set and a commercial break, Haines assured TV viewers that she was O.K. and that “Spidey” had “apologized profusely.” She even hinted at a “romantic” date in the near future. It doesn’t seem like there are any hard feelings…
