Stephanie Grisham Dishes About ‘Stressful’ Jan. 6 Committee Testimony on The View: They’re ‘Headed in a Good Direction’
Stephanie Grisham joined The View as a guest host the day after testifying in front of the Jan. 6 House Select Committee, sharing as much as she could with the table.
Whoopi Goldberg asked Grisham about the experience at the top of Thursday’s edition of The View.
“It was stressful,” Grisham shared. “It was my second time doing it. This time was much, much longer.”
Grisham went on to reveal that she sat in front of the committee right after she was on The View Wednesday, adding that the “questions were much more pointed” than the first time she testified.
“I’m not going to get too far ahead of what they’re saying. I’m very hopeful, but I’m really mindful of the clock,” she continued. “As you well know, subpoenas have been put out for people. They’re being ignored.”
Grisham highlighted that if Republicans end up taking control of the House during the midterm elections, the Jan. 6 committee will be completely eradicated “so nothing will come of it.”
“But I’m hopeful,” Grisham added. “A couple of the people on the panel had some really pointed questions for me that made me feel like they were headed in a good direction.”
Joy Behar pushed Grisham for more clarity on the remark, asking which direction she was referring to.
“I can’t get into — just that perhaps they’ve got some information that will be … very helpful … in holding people … in holding the appropriate people accountable and just more importantly, showing the country what really happened behind the scenes,” Grisham managed to get out, as the other hosts eagerly interrupted her while looking for more juicy details.
Grisham went on to stress that she is nervous the committee will not reach a conclusion in time, adding that Donald Trump and his team are good at “running down the clock.”
