Stephen Colbert Praises Rick Perry For Calling Social Security A Ponzi Scheme

Seeing as he had just likely finished taping his show as President Obama began to address a joint session of Congress, last night Stephen Colbert chose instead to focus on Wednesday night’s GOP debate hosted by MSNBC and Politico. Who was the big winner in Colbert’s esteem? None other than Texas Governor Rick Perry, who was brave enough to take on “the 800-pound gorilla in the room, being stomped on by the elephant in the room, being ridden by the emperor who has no clothes: Social Security.”
