Steve Bannon Calls For Netanyahu To Be Toppled ‘Immediately’: ‘We Need Regime Change in Jerusalem and We Need It Tonight’
Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon called for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be toppled “immediately” on Tuesday, declaring, “We need regime change in Jerusalem and we need it tonight.”
During an appearance on Bannon’s Real America’s Voice show War Room, informal Trump adviser Laura Loomer criticized conservative commentators for being “so obsessed with Israel” instead of “the threat of Islam.”
“I think that we need to have a real conversation, Stephen, in the GOP and hopefully amid all of this Israel Derangement Syndrome that we’re seeing from many people on the right,” said Loomer. “You don’t see these people ever talk about Islam. You never see these people talk about the threat of Islam, Stephen. They gotta stop being so obsessed with Israel and so obsessed with the Jews. You know, it’s not the Israelis that are gonna have another 9/11 here in our country.”
Bannon shot back, “No, no, no. Hang on a second. If the Israeli government had dealt straight with us, you wouldn’t have had this problem. They’re liars. They’ve been stone-cold liars, they gave bad information, so I’m not gonna let that go unchallenged. That’s just bullsh**, okay?”
“Netanyahu’s government has been atrocious and we should have regime change in Jerusalem and we should have it immediately. They’ve lied to the American government, they’ve lied to the American people consistently,” he continued:
You say “Israeli Derangement Syndrome.” It’s not Israeli Derangement Syndrome. I certainly don’t have it. What I have [a problem with] is the Greater Israel Project that was never done– no due diligence done, the American people never signed off on that, the Trump administration never signed off on that. That’s on Netanyahu.
We need regime change in Jerusalem and we need it tonight, okay? Everything that comes out of Netanyahu’s government is a stone-cold lie, okay? And the Muslim Brotherhood is 100 times worse, I understand that. They hate America, they hate the West, it has to be dealt with. But you can’t sit there and whitewash and say everyone’s gotta get off Israeli Derangement Syndrome.
Bannon has been a vocal critic of Netanyahu and his government in recent months, accusing the Israeli prime minister of lying to President Donald Trump and the American people and attempting to drag the United States into a conflict with Iran.
In August, after Netanyahu claimed, “You can’t be MAGA if you’re anti-Israel,” Bannon responded in a social media post, “American Citizens Do Not Give 2 F***s About Your Thoughts on MAGA, or What Our Citizens Need to Believe—They Care About Exposing Your Pathological Lies in Order to Keep Us Out of Your Next War.”
