Steve Bannon Calls on Trump to ‘Pull All Support’ for Ukraine After Drone Blitz on Russians

MAGA firebrand Steve Bannon called on President Donald Trump to condemn Ukraine’s weekend drone attack on Russian airbases and “pull all support” after reports that the White House was not informed in advance of the offensive.

More than 40 warplanes, including Russia’s Tu-95 and Tu-22 strategic bombers, were reportedly damaged or destroyed across four airbases in Murmansk and Irkutsk, thousands of miles from Ukraine’s border. The operation, which Ukraine revealed it had been in planning for 18-months, came just one day before Monday’s peace talks were set to begin in Istanbul.

Axios reported on Sunday that sources within the administration confirmed Kyiv did not notify Trump in advance.

Speaking to Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec on Monday’s episode of The War Room, Bannon blasted Ukraine’s attack as “irresponsible” and accused Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) of pushing conflict with Russia behind Trump’s back.

[If no one informed Trump] then the White House has to condemn this immediately and pull all support and tell Lindsey Graham to come home or we are going to put you under arrest when you come home. You’re stirring it up. Lindsey Graham’s over there saying: ‘Hey, forget Trump. I got the House and the Senate. We’re going to pass it. You’re going to see something in a couple of days.’ Remember that? He’s stirring it up over there. He’s telling me they got backing.

If they did not give us a heads up on this, full stop, no minerals deal, walk away from all of it. They’re irresponsible. They’re dragging us into a kinetic third world war. As we said, us – we’re getting dragged in now. Or the deep state is driving us in there. Either of these are not good.

Continuing, following on an earlier point by Posobiec who noted the planning began while President Joe Biden was in office, Bannon called on Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and the FBI to gut the “deep state” operatives who might have known about the attack:

Tulsi Gabbard’s got to let us know. Did anyone in Intel at all have anything to do with this? Did anybody have a heads up? Did anybody? And if not, who the hell’s running the Ukraine desk? Who’s running the Russia desk? Same thing with [John] Ratcliffe. This is why [FBI director] Kash [Patel] and [FBI deputy director Dan] Bongino and [U.S. attorney general] Pam Bondi, you’ve got to clear out the deep state.

This is a ticking time bomb. You see what they’re going to get us into. Because now we’re being drawn into this. If we didn’t know about it, the president, to me, has got to condemn it and got to say we’re not going to give any more support because these people cannot be trusted.

In a pointed message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, before going to ad break, Bannon said: “You’re supposed to be in Turkey today talking peace, not 3,000 miles into Russia blowing up their strategic bombers.”
