Steve Doocy Returns to Fox & Friends, Rides a Horse in First Coast-to-Coast Host Gig
Steve Doocy has returned to Fox & Friends, doing his best Lone Ranger as he kicked off his coast-to-coast host gig.
Broadcasting live from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, Doocy did several live hits on horseback with the Kid Rock Rock N Rodeo, which hits the Lone Star State Friday night.
“I’m starting my new assignment as coast-to-coast host doing something that has never been seen on Fox & Friends,” Doocy said, while on a horse named Pancake.
He also came with a playful dig at F&F co-host Brian Kilmeade: “Brian, you know I’m talking to you. I’m going to actually ride a horse on TV. Here we go. Brian has been on horses before but the horses have never moved.”
Doocy was a fixture on the curvy couch for years until earlier this month, when he announced he would be stepping away from full-time co-hosting duties.
“I’m going to do some live hits from Florida,” Doocy told Mediaite at the time. “But I’ll still travel some — you won’t know where I’m going to be. I’m going to be the coast-to-coast host. Not the couch host — the coast the coast host! Not having to be anchored to the NYC studios every day feels great, to be honest.”
As Doocy begins his out-of-studio era, he’s clearly enjoying himself.
“Hi ho, Silver, away!” Doocy exclaimed as he rode off on Pancake.
The Kid Rock Rock N Rodeo airs Friday night at 8 p.m. on Fox Nation.
