Taylor Swift Finds Surprise Defender In Fox News’s Laura Ingraham: ‘And I Liked Her Dress’

Taylor Swift found a surprise defender this week in the media as Fox News host Laura Ingraham poured cold water on the media backlash over the superstar being unimpressed with the host of the Golden Globes.

“Something happened over the weekend, Jimmy. It’s really getting on my nerves. Watch this,” Ingraham began.

“As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader. Uh, the big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL on the Golden Globes we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift, I swear. Which is more to go to hit? Sorry about that,” said host Jo Koy in a clip from the Golden Globes.

“All right, Jimmy, I’m going to stand up for Taylor Swift here, okay? And it’s not just because my daughter’s a massive fan,” Ingraham declared, adding:

Everybody’s been jumping on her for making what I think is a. It’s a human reaction to a bad joke and a bad host. So it was like, oh, she should have reacted differently. Why? She I like the fact that she was like, you know, you’re a loser and I’m going to I’m not going to clap or pretend I like your dumb joke. I was fine.

“No, for sure. I’m going to stand up for her. And not just because I wear a lot of the same outfits as her when I’m on TV. Let’s let’s tell it like it is, okay? Taylor Swift is the biggest star in the world,” replied Fox’s Jimmy Failla, adding:

She doesn’t owe anyone a courtesy laugh at a bad joke. That’s not her being a bad audience member. That’s him trying to tie two thoughts together, but not sticking the landing that we call a punchline. And for anybody who does give Taylor a hard time, she doesn’t ask the cameras to point at her every time they do something. At these games, she’s just a star. And even if you don’t like it, Laura, everyone should admit it’s nice to see someone pretending to be a cheat. Great. Besides Elizabeth Warren. There you go.

“And I liked her dress. Okay, let’s just say that. All right. Jimmy, um. And I saw you that in that number a couple weeks ago, so she kind of copied you,” Ingraham joked.

Ingraham’s defense of Swift came the same week that fellow Fox host Jesse Watters claimed that the Pentagon wanted to use Swift as part of a political psyop.

“Well, around four years ago, the Pentagon psychological operations unit floated turning Taylor Swift into an asset during a NATO meeting. What kind of asset? A PsyOp for combatting online misinformation,” Watters declared.

“I wonder who got to her from The White House or wherever,” Watters jested, adding, “Who makes that initial handshake.”

Swift has been a target of right-wing fury in recent months as she has stood with the left on several issues and began dating an NFL player.
