Town Hall Audience Bursts Into Laughter After Trump Says He Hasn’t Made Any Mistakes

The audience at NewsNation’s town hall with President Donald Trump burst into laughter on Wednesday after Trump said he did not believe he had made any mistakes during his first 100 days in the White House.

During the town hall, which was hosted by NewsNation host Chris Cuomo, former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, and ESPN host Stephen A. Smith, O’Reilly asked Trump a question from a member of the audience.

“I got a studio audience question from Lee Shapiro. Lee’s a tough guy. Lee says, ‘What’s the biggest mistake you think you’ve made in your first 100 days?'” he asked.

Trump replied, “I’ll tell you, that’s the toughest question I could have because I don’t really believe I’ve made mistakes.”

The audience – comprised of Republicans, Democrats, and independents – then burst into laughter.

“I think Lee is reassured,” O’Reilly mocked.

Trump continued, “We’re in a transition period. I think you’re going to see tremendous economic victories over the next period of a year, like far greater than ever imagined. Right now, as I said, we’re losing billions and billions of dollars on trade. We’re gonna make millions and billions of dollars, but it takes a little while. That doesn’t happen overnight, but it will happen much faster than people understand.”

Many of the questions during the town hall related to concerns over Trump’s ongoing tariff wars and their domestic economic effect, including fears of a recession.
