Trump Says Maybe He ‘Wouldn’t Be Here If It Wasn’t for the Media’
Donald Trump took a brief moment during one of his usual anti-media rants to muse aloud about whether the media helped him get to where he is.
The crowd booed as Trump gestured to the press and cried, “They are the most dishonest people in the world, the media! They are the worst!… They are terrible!”
He asked the crowd if they hate the media. They shouted “YES!” and Trump said, “I don’t hate anybody, I love the media, they’re wonderful.” (Probably sarcasm.)
But he also made this brief observation:
“Hey, I guess we wouldn’t be here, maybe, if it wasn’t for the media, so maybe we shouldn’t be complaining, right?”
