Trump Spox: He Doesn’t Have a Woman Problem, ‘His Own Wife Endorsed Him’
Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said on CNN Tuesday that the GOP nominee would not have a problem earning the support of women, citing the fact that he had the endorsement of his wife.
Host Wolf Blitzer played a new ad from a pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC attacking Trump for many of his distasteful comments about women. Pierson was nonplussed, accusing the Clinton campaign of “placating to emotions” and saying that female voters were smarter than that.
“The facts are that women aren’t emotional voters. And I think it’s an insult for Hillary Clinton’s campaign to try to push a narrative somehow thinking that women just aren’t going to care about illegal immigration, they’re not going to care that ISIS is expanding and did under Hillary’s watch…” she said.
“Women know Donald Trump is a very successful business person. He’s raised a wonderful family. His own wife endorsed him for president,” Pierson pointed out. “So this is a narrative that they’ve overreached on and ultimately will fail.”
