Trump Taken Aback by Flattery From MAGA Reporter: ‘It’s Not So Much a Question, It’s a Statement!’

President Donald Trump was a bit surprised by praise from pro-MAGA reporter Brian Glenn on Thursday, telling the reporter he’d made a “statement” rather than asked a question.

Trump announced major discounts to popular weight loss drugs at the White House on Thursday, and while taking questions from reporters, Glenn noted that Walmart announced its 2025 Thanksgiving meal will cost 25% less than last year when former President Joe Biden was in office.

“For your administration, targeting the segment of our population that needs it the most, that has the highest obesity rates, you’re making it affordable. You are truly saving lives,” Glenn told Trump about his latest announcement.

The Real America’s Voice reporter said those were the sentiments coming from viewers during a break in Thursday’s press conference. The presser took a short break, and the press was moved out of the room after Novo Nordisk executive Gordon Findlay appeared to faint live on TV.

Glenn then moved onto the Walmart Thanksgiving meal kit. Walmart is currently offering a kit that feeds 10 people for just under $40. This equals about $4 per person. The 2024 meal kit that was offered could feed eight people at a cost of around $56. The White House celebrated the drop in price, though critics have been quick to note that the new meal kit includes six less items and less brand names than the 2024 kit.

“My question to you is, Walmart just pushed out a report that says this year’s traditional Thanksgiving meal will cost 25% less than it did through the Biden administration, plus gas prices being down in the $2 region makes it more affordable to travel to grandma’s for this Thanksgiving,” Glenn said.

Trump noted it was a “statement” thrown at him rather than a question, and he said he may not have addressed the affordability issue at the health-focused press conference.

“Thank you very much,” Trump said. “It’s not so much a question, it’s a statement. And I would have made the statement, but we have a lot of things happening, so I wouldn’t necessarily have made it right now.”
