Tucker Carlson Accuses CNN’s W. Kamau Bell of ‘Peddling Hate’ in Rally Speech

Tucker Carlson criticized CNN host W. Kamau Bell for speaking at a rally during which anti-fascists violently attacked a number of conservative protesters.

In his opening monologue Thursday, Carlson ripped Bell for his address at the “No Hate No Fear” rally at Berkeley — an event incorrectly identified by a Fox News Chyron as an “Antifa rally.” (The protest began peacefully before members of Antifa grew violent and took over.) Carlson — who made an unsubstantiated claim that Bell is a supporter of Antifa — was particularly peeved that Bell, at one point, invoked Nazis.

“He’s happy to stand up on stage and called his opponents Nazis,” Carlson said. “That’s not a label use on people you want to debate. It’s a label use to incite rage. He had to know how this would end. He did it anyway.”

Carlson then took aim at a statement Bell made about the rally on Twitter Monday:

Carlson accused Bell of “peddling hate” with his statement.

“If you’re not willing to say you want a world safe for all Americans equally, you are peddling hate, and Bell is,” Carlson said.

The Fox News host went on to misidentify Bell as an “anchor” while criticizing CNN for Bell’s participation in the rally. Bell is described on the United Shades of America show page as a comedian and political provocateur.
