VIDEO: Utah Nurse Forcefully Dragged From Hospital, Arrested For Doing Her Job

A nurse at University of Utah Hospital was roughed up and arrested by police after she refused to take a blood sample that violated hospital policy, as shown in dramatic video aired by Today.

Salt Lake City Police Detective Jeff Payne reportedly asked the nurse, Alex Wubbels, for the blood sample of a driver involved in a fiery car crash from late July, according to Deseret News.

But when Wubbels refused, citing company policy — the hospital cannot take blood from an unconscious person without their consent or a warrant — Payne snapped, grabbing her by the arms and dragging her out of the hospital’s lobby.

“We’re done, you’re under arrest,” Payne declared as he marched a screaming Wubbels outside.

“Stop you’re assaulting me!” Wubbels cried, before being detained in a police car for 20 minutes. She was eventually released, and no charges were filed against her.

Wubbels has now released the dramatic video of her arrest, and accused the cop of “harassment” in a press conference.
