One of the Washington Post reporters who filed a story President Trump decried as “FAKE NEWS” said they completely stand by it.
WaPo reported last night that at one point this year, Trump talked about rescinding Neil Gorsuch‘s Supreme Court nomination because he was insufficiently “loyal.”
The President responded:
A story in the @washingtonpost that I was close to “rescinding” the nomination of Justice Gorsuch prior to confirmation is FAKE NEWS. I never even wavered and am very proud of him and the job he is doing as a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. The unnamed sources don’t exist!

Reporter Josh Dawsey told CNN’s John Berman tonight they “100%” stand by the reporting, saying they were incredibly thorough on all of this.
“The President obviously has a right to his opinion,” he said, “and we have a right to publish what our facts lead us to believe.”
