WATCH: CNN Geeks Out over the Show Scandal

The White House Correspondents Dinner is a great excuse for politicians, the media, and celebrities to hobnob like nobody’s business, and that was perhaps best encapsulated by CNN geeking out multiple times over the course of the night about the hit ABC show Scandal.

Scandal is one show in the D.C./Hollywood television trifecta that also includes Veep and House of Cards. Scandal, for those of you unfamiliar with it, centers around a series of seemingly unending political scandals for President Fitz, who’s also involved with Olivia, but there’s also something about Mellie and also lots of other stuff happening. (You can probably figure out by this point that I don’t watch the show.)

But it’s become a big hit, especially on social media, and CNN seemed really excited when anything Scandal-related came up tonight. Hell, even the mere presence of the man who plays the fictional president triggered some very excited conversation.
