‘Bleep This!’ James Carville Says Insiders Tell Him Trump White House ‘Nuttier Than You Even Think!’

Democratic pundit James Carville told Jim Acosta that he’s hearing from “reliable people” who have been inside President Donald Trump’s White House that it’s “nuttier than even you think!”

Carville was a guest on Monday’s two-part edition of the Substack video podcast The Jim Acosta Show, during which he had a tough time figuring out the tech and had to appear with Acosta literally holding his phone up to the camera.

Acosta recently lamented that Democrats have reached “maximum powerlessness,” and Carville didn’t do much to dispel that when he told Acosta his party’s best strategy now is “retreat.”

He also warned that the chatter coming out of Trump’s White House is alarming — especially when compared to Trump’s first term — and people are coming out of it saying “Bleep this!”:

JAMES CARVILLE: My sense is people are just like, what’s going on? Can you explain this to me?

JIM ACOSTA: Yeah. Yeah.

JAMES CARVILLE: You know,– confused about it. And the truth of that is he’s mad.

JIM ACOSTA: Yeah.

JAMES CARVILLE: And I– I don’t want to–

JIM ACOSTA: He’s flailing–

JAMES CARVILLE: Internal stuff. I’ve heard, you know, secondhand, people that have been to the White House.

It’s more, okay–. It’s nuttier than you even think!

JIM ACOSTA: Yeah.

JAMES CARVILLE: Okay. It’s anything that you hear–. This is secondhand information. Some of it is gossip, but pretty reliable people are coming out of there saying, “Man,” you know, “bleep this!”

JIM ACOSTA: I remember that happening the first time around. There was a lot of that going around back then.

JAMES CARVILLE: I think– I do now. And there were– but there were a lot of people. There was a lot of you know, we had resistance in the government.

JIM ACOSTA: Yeah.

JAMES CARVILLE: There’s none this time. I mean, you know that yeah, it may this is not we can’t take comfort in the first time around.

JIM ACOSTA: Yeah.

JAMES CARVILLE: You don’t even have, ah, Jeff Sessions or Miles Taylor or Rex Tillerson or Jim Mattis.

JIM ACOSTA: No General Kelly this time. Yeah.

JAMES CARVILLE: There’s no General Kelly. There’s no Reince Priebus. I there’s no Gary Cole to take the memo to take the stuff off his desk. All right. They’re not calling each other and saying “Shit, What are we doing here?” That’s different.

And he’s aware, he’s got literally planted people. And however bad you think the headline people are, the undersecretaries and the administrative assistants and the this and the that are ten times worse.
