Chris Cuomo’s upcoming book, titled Deep Denial, has reportedly been dropped by HarperCollins following his firing from CNN.

New York Times reporter John Koblin took to Twitter on Tuesday to report the news, writing that a representative from the publishing company confirmed they do not intend to publish the book.

“Chris Cuomo’s forthcoming book (originally titled DEEP DENIAL) from a HarperCollins imprint has been pulled,” Koblin wrote. “‘We do not intend to publish the Cuomo book,’ a HarperCollins rep tells me.”

The New York Post similarly reported that a source from Custom House, the subset of HarperCollins, told the outlet that Cuomo’s book was being pulled.

“I can confirm that we don’t intend to publish the book,” spokesperson Kelly Rudolph told The Post without elaborating further.

Cuomo’s book was dropped after he was fired from CNN one day after the New York state attorney general’s office released transcripts revealing how involved he was in helping his brother, then-governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), after multiple women accused him of sexual harassment or assault.

According to a description of the text on Google Books, Deep Denial was set to be “a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America—about our strength and our character—and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality.”
