Man With Suspiciously-Shaped Mustache in Border Convoy Rails Against Immigrants on NewsNation

NewsNation’s Stephanie Haines reported live from the U.S.-Mexico border on Thursday and interviewed a man with a distinctly styled mustache. Much like the distinct style worn by Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

The man, Jayce Gilliam, was part of a Christian nationalist convoy of Texas residents that refer to themselves as “God’s army,” who stationed themselves at the border to protest the influx of immigrants coming into the country from the south. Haines asked Gilliam to express his views on what was happening at the border:

What I’d like to see at the border is people along it making sure that nobody’s coming across the river. That’s as simple as it gets. And when that’s done, then I think people will be a lot more, people will be a lot more happy, feel a lot safer.

Haines had more reporting on Gilliam’s purpose as part of “God’s army”:

A couple of things about that is his “Remember the Alamo” flag, he says he made that flag himself, just to show his support for Texas in this time. And he was wearing a tactical vest. He says that’s just in case. The organizers for this group say that they intend to be peaceful. This is meant to be a law-abiding group here. People need to follow the rules, follow the law, and, you know, behave well when they go down to the border. That’s their goal here, is they really just want to make their voices heard and they really want to make a difference.
