‘No One Is Loving This’: Karine Jean-Pierre Pushes Back When Peter Doocy Asked If Anyone in the West Wing Is ‘Loving’ GOP Chaos

Fox News’ Peter Doocy had an array of questions for White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday, including how many people Commander Biden has bitten. But when it came to how the administration of President Joe Biden was feeling about the tumultuous House Republican conference, Jean-Pierre made it clear that no one in the West Wing is “loving this.”

Doocy brought questions about the border, the First Dog’s bad bitey habits, and the aftermath of the ouster of former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). But when Doocy asked if anyone in the Biden administration was possibly “loving” the GOP infighting, Jean-Pierre pushed back:

DOOCY: Is any part of the West Wing here, just loving the fact that Republicans don’t appear to be able to govern the one part of the government that they actually control?

KJP: Nobody’s loving anything when we’re not, when we’re not able to deliver for the American people. Nobody’s loving that. It is important for Congress to work, not for us, but on behalf of the American people. It is important to make sure that we meet the challenges of the American people. That’s what’s important. What we saw, and you heard from the president, what we saw on Saturday should have never have happened. We’re glad that a deal was made. We’re glad that we’re not in a shutdown. But House Republicans should have never gotten us that far. And so they are the majority in the House. They can fix this. They’re creating the chaos. That is not helpful to the American people.

Doocy also raised the question of how the Biden administration feels about the possibility of former President Donald Trump as Speaker of the House, which earned a bit of a smirk (and a response).
