Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News on Tuesday for interviewing Michael Tyler, the communications director for Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign.

“Why does FoxNews keep putting on, for endless periods of time, Michael Tyler, Kamala’s publicist, who spews nothing but lies – like Project 2025, etc.,” wrote Trump in a post on Truth Social just hours before he’s set to face off against Harris in an ABC News debate. “Fox tries to be so politically correct, when the other side plays for keeps. RIDICULOUS!!!”

Earlier in the day, Tyler appeared on America’s Newsroom for an interview with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino during which Hemmer asked Tyler how Harris would respond when Trump asked her why she hadn’t accomplished more during her three and a half years as Vice President on the debate stage.

“Yeah, listen, I think, well, it remains to be seen what Donald Trump says, obviously his team decided to overrule him and has muzzled him somewhat on the debate stage,” replied Tyler in a reference to the Trump campaign’s successful effort to keep both candidates’ microphones from being live throughout the debate. Tyler went on to outline the Harris campaign’s view of the contrast between the two candidates, prompting Hemmer to repeat his point.

“The things you listed there, I mean Trump has an opportunity to say, ‘What have you been doing for the past three and a half years if you haven’t done it already?’” noted the anchor.

Tyler has previously appeared on Fox for another tough interview with Hemmer and Perino during the Democratic National Convention last month, when the pair pressed Tyler on Harris’s record and even laughed at Tyler’s explanation for why President Joe Biden’s address being pushed out of primetime.

“So too many people clapping for too long? Is that what it was?” asked a chuckling Hemmer. “Are we to buy that?”

For his part, Trump is set to join Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning to discuss his debate with Harris.
