Vivek Ramaswamy Vents About Tough Interview with ‘Purported Conservative’ Sean Hannity During Friendly Podcast With Alex Jones

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy hosted conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on an episode of his podcast released on Tuesday, where he vented about a disastrous interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
Their meandering conversation saw Jones whitewash his role in slandering victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting and Ramaswamy, a Yale Law school graduate, express shock that Jones could be sanctioned by the judicial system for failing to hand over documents and evidence in the defamation cases that resulted from his spread of that lie.
Eventually Ramaswamy, who collegially referred to his and Jones’s shared “movement” in the episode, brought up the interview with Hannity, which was widely acknowledged to be harmful to Ramaswamy’s campaign.
After Jones called Ramaswamy the second biggest target of the establishment behind only former President Donald Trump, Ramaswamy asked if Jones had seen the Hannity interview. When Jones said he had not, Ramaswamy described it from his perspective.
“I’m making the case, I think it’s sane, that on the one hand, absolutely Israel is our ally, what happened to them was wrong, it was barbaric, it was medieval, and of course they have the right to national self-defense. But I’ve also said that we should not want to enter a broader regional conflict in the Middle East that doesn’t advance U.S. interests because we have to learn from our prior mistakes,” began Ramaswamy. “And so I also pointed to others in the Republican Party like Nikki Haley who screech ‘Finish them! Finish them!’ talking about Hamas and Iran like there’s no distinction. ‘Finish them!’ Okay, what are the consequences of that for the United States of America?”
“So interestingly this guy, Hannity — I was very disappointed — comes after me for pointing out that Nikki Haley has made $8 million after her time as the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. as a military contractor and otherwise,” he continued. “That was the one, that was the wake-up call for me is to see even a purported ‘conservative’ voice buy into what is the captured establishment Super PAC puppetry. You should watch this one, It was unbelievable.”
Jones responded by addressing Hannity directly, urging him to see Ramaswamy’s perspective and warning that World War III could be imminent.
Ramaswamy added:
And the saddest part of this is that if there are Republican presidential candidates who stand to make money off of it because they’re on the board, or have been on the boards of Boeing and are collecting stock options while they’re running for president, and have had family military contracting businesses and made a habit of making money off their time in government, this is why we have a crime family in the Biden family that has sold off our foreign policy to make their family rich. I could care less [sic] if you have an R after your name and you’re gonna do the same thing,
During the interview with Hannity, the Fox News host repeatedly pressed Ramaswamy on his reluctance to acknowledge things he’s said, including that “financial and corrupting influences,” were responsible for a “shameful” and disproportionate focus on Hamas’ attack on Israel.
“Vivek, wait a minute, stop right now. You do this in every single interview. You say stuff and then you deny it. You deny your own words. So, you know, why don’t you just own what you say and stand by it and stop playing these games?” asked Hannity.
Ramaswamy, meanwhile, told Hannity he was falling for a trap set by the “fake news media” that he had long decried.
