‘We Won It Twice!’ Trump Whips Up Screaming Fans With Claim He Really Won Their State — He Did Not
Former President Donald Trump whipped up a cheering New Mexico rally crowd by saying he believes he was the true victor in their state, telling them “I won twice!” despite having lost twice.
On Thursday, Trump held a rally in New Mexico — where even he conceded his advisers consider an unlikely place to campaign, saying they told him “You can’t win” the state.
But Trump that didn’t stop him from telling the crowd he was confident he can win — and that in reality he has before (he hasn’t) because the vote was rigged (it wasn’t):
DONALD TRUMP: Thank you very much. Thank you very much. New Mexico. What a good place. Thank you very much. I’m only here for one reason. They all said “Don’t come.” I said, why? “You can’t win New Mexico.”.
I said, Look, your votes are rigged. We can win New Mexico. We can win New Mexico.
(CHEERS)
DONALD TRUMP: And I said, why? They don’t want to stop the people pouring across the border that are murderers? They’re killers. They’re drug addicts. They’re drug dealers. They’re gang members. Why New Mexico wants to keep it going like it is?
So, you know, we almost won it twice. And let me tell you, I believe we won it twice! Okay? You want to know the truth? And if you can watch your vote count. If we could bring God down from heaven, he could be the vote counter. We would win this.
We’d win California, we’d win a lot of states, a lot of states that they say, a Republican can’t win. They say a Republican can win. Well, you know what? We’re going to win it. We got to win it.
You just got to keep the votes honest. Keep the votes honest.
