6 Detained Near Brussels in Connection with Terrorist Attacks

brusselsSix individuals near Brussels were detained today by Belgian police in connection with the terrorist attacks at the Brussels airport this week.

According to the AP, Belgian authorities conducted a series of raids today and made the arrests in multiple different neighborhoods. CNN’s reporting notes no explanation was given for what link they may have had to the attack, only saying “it will be decided tomorrow if these people will remain in custody.”

Police raids into terror suspects have been common all over Europe recently. One man was arrested in a Paris police raid earlier today.

And just last week, raids in Brussels led to the arrests of five people––some of whom were reportedly sheltering a Paris terror suspect.
