Al Gore Speaks to the Press on His ‘Extremely Interesting Conversation’ with Trump

Former Vice President Al Gore met with both Ivanka Trump and President-elect Donald Trump today to discuss climate change, and he made brief comments to the press in Trump Tower afterwards.

Here are the full comments Gore made to the press, per a pool report:

“I had a lengthy and very productive session with the President-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground. I had a meeting beforehand with Ivanka Trump. The bulk of the time was with the President-elect, Donald Trump. I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued, and I’m just going to leave it at that.”

In the past Trump has called global warming “bullshit” and a Chinese hoax, but in his recent interview with The New York Times he moderated his position.
