Ann Coulter Addresses That Time She Called Trump a ‘Clown’

coulterAnn Coulter wrote in her new book Adios, America! a lot of the things Donald Trump has been saying now about illegal immigration, but back in 2011, she was trashing him as a “clown.” She dismissed conservative enthusiasm about him, pointed to his donations to Democrats, and said, “It’s all just a big act for the moment.”

So when Coulter spoke with Fox’s Alan Colmes on his radio show last night, Colmes asked her what happened. Coulter, who insisted that “the people” want Trump to be president, said Trump is “magnificent now.”

She recalled how back in 2012, Trump criticized Mitt Romney and the GOP for being too “mean-spirited” on immigration and how that was a “mistake,” but at the end of the day, “We all make mistakes, bygones will be bygones.”
