Another ‘CNN Sucks!’ Chant Breaks Out at Trump Rally Venue

On the same day as suspected mail bomber Cesar Sayoc was arrested in Florida, President Donald Trump is holding yet another rally in North Carolina.

Yet, even before the president’s arrival, the “CNN sucks” chants have begun.

CNN’s Brian Stelter reported that a chant broke out as reporters were lining up for 5 pm live spots, two hours before the rally was set to start.

Betsy Klein, also from CNN, posted video of the second of the chants on Twitter.

CNN’s Jeff Zeleny likewise tweeted about the chant.

The chant takes on special significance because the chant was actually heard today at the White House too during Trump’s scripted call for unity at an event for the Young Black Leadership Summit.

It also comes just hours after alleged serial mail bomber Cesar Sayoc‘s van was found to be plastered with pro-Trump stickers and the very words “CNN Sucks”, and CNN uncovered footage of Sayoc at a rally holding a “CNN sucks” sign.

For his part, Trump suggested on the way to the rally there was no need for him to tone down his rhetoric and, in fact, he may “tone it up.”
