A reporter for KPHO in Phoenix, Arizona was arrested this week for defecating on the lawn near where he had gone to interview a story for a subject.
According to KPHO’s own website (which refers to him as a “former” reporter, so you can figure out what happened there), Jonathan Lowe relieved himself while covering a story in Goodyear and felt sick.
The official police report said that “he walked across the street to… approach the side of the front yard, squat while leaning against the wall of the residence, and proceeded to defecate in the yard.”
The woman whose yard it was called in the complaint and said she would have let Lowe use her bathroom if he really needed it.
This is what Lowe said when the officer spoke to him:
“I know what you want to talk to me about. I’ve been feeling very sick and I’ve been stuck in this van all day. So, I went over to that person’s yard and took care of business. Those people who called on me just wanted to start problems.”
He was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor.
