Beck Makes Emotional Plea to Central American Families (with Spanish Subtitles)
Glenn Beck opened his television program today with a long message (accompanied by a Spanish-language chyron) to parents in Mexico, Central America, and South America: please don’t break up your families to send your children to the U.S. border where they end up in horrible conditions.
Beck opened by introducing himself to his intended viewers, and explained that it’s incredibly dangerous to be sending children to a border “filled with drugs and violence.” He admitted he can’t pretend to know what these families are going through, but implored to them, “Resist the temptation to flee or to break up your family. Please don’t send your child off to a smuggler in the middle of the night.”
Beck warned that children “will possibly be much worse off” if they’re sent here. He did talk about his plans to go down to the border and provide food and supplies to these children, and told these broken-up families what he would tell these kids when he goes to see them: you’ll be home soon.
